2012 Election of the Board of Directors

Nominations
Nominations are invited for the following positions:

President

Vice President (2)

Directors (4)

Section from the Rules of Mittagong RSL Club Ltd:

41. The business and affairs of the Club and the custody and control of its funds and

      property shall be managed by a Board of Directors consisting of a President,

      two (2) Vice Presidents and four (4) other Directors.

42. No member under suspension shall be elected to office or perform duties as a holder

      of an office or member of any committee of the Club while they remain unfinancial

      or during the period of such suspension and further no member is eligible for election

      to the Board of the Club with less than twelve (12) months membership of the Club.

43. (a) The Board of Directors shall be elected annually at an election at which the

      members entitled to vote consist of a majority of the Full members of the Club.

Candidates may nominate for more than one position, but may only be elected to one

position. Nomination forms and information pack are available from Club Reception.

LODGEMENT OF NOMINATIONS

Nominations are open on 26th January 2012 and must be received by the General

Manager, not later than 5pm Thursday 16th February 2012.

A nomination cannot be withdrawn after this time and any defect must be rectified

before this time.

Should more than the required number of nominations be received a draw will be

conducted to determine the order of candidates’ names on the ballot paper at the Club at 7.00pm

on Thursday 16th February 2012.

Candidates or their representatives are invited to witness the draw.

PRE NOMINATION INFORMATION SESSION

Individuals considering nomination as a Director of the Mittagong RSL Club Ltd are advised

that a Directors Pre Nomination Information Session will he held on Wednesday 8th

February 2012. Details are:

Venue: Mittagong RSL Club Board Room                                  

Session Time: 7.00pm to 8.00pm

If you are considering a nomination, it is highly recommended that you attend this session.

Please contact Megan Kain at the Club on 48726700 by Monday 6th February if you

would like to book a place at this information session.

VOTING

Should a ballot be required each member will be forwarded a voting slip together with the

notice of the Annual General Meeting and related documents.

The voting slip shall advise the member the date by which the voting slip shall be returned,

either personally or by post to the Club.

If required, the counting of votes will take place at the Club commencing on 6.00pm, on

Wednesday 21st March 2012.

One scrutineer per Candidate may be appointed to witness the count.

The result of the election will be announced at the Annual General Meeting commencing

at 10.00am, Sunday 25th March 2012.
